Stoke City had nearly 60 per cent of the ball against Preston North End but Narcis Pelach wasn’t happy

Narcis Pelach admits possession on its own isn’t enough as Stoke City couldn’t find a breakthrough against Preston North End.

Stoke had 57 per cent of the ball at the bet365 Stadium but a chance from a first-half corner, when Wouter Burger hit the post, was the closest they came to breaking the deadlock.

The boss wanted to see more opportunities being created in open play, even against a side which has made a habit of carving out 0-0 draws this season – and wants to see more movement without the ball from his front players to make sure that their teammates further back always have options to be positive.
