Important Player Receives Injury Status Update for Clippers vs. Spurs

The San Antonio Spurs are getting Devin Vassell back vs. the LA Clippers

San Antonio Spurs guard Devin Vassell has missed the last three games with an adductor injury, but has been upgraded to available for Wednesday night’s game vs. the LA Clippers. While Victor Wembanyama understandably gets most of the attention for San Antonio, Vassell has been a high-level player for them since his breakout campaign last season.

An 18.5 PPG scorer a year ago, Vassell has averaged 17.3 PPG to start this season, and is doing it on an impressive 49.6% from the field and 43.1% from deep. While the Spurs have not been good this season, there is a lot of reason for optimism when looking at the duo of Vassell and Wembanyama. As these two young players continue their development, the Spurs should only get better as a team.

San Antonio has lost both games they have played against the Clippers this season, and this game on Wednesday night will be their final matchup against LA in the regular season. These games have not been very competitive, but perhaps Vassell’s return can give the Spurs a much needed boost.

The Clippers are still a team trying to figure things out as well, but simply have much more talent than San Antonio does, which has been evident in their first two matchups. That said, the Spurs have players who can give any team trouble, and they will look be much more competitive in this one
