REPORT: Miami Dolphins Considering Benching Tyreek Hill Against The Jets In Week 15
The Miami Dolphins are reportedly considering taking the drastic step of benching star wide receiver Tyreek Hill in Week 15. The Dolphins could be without their top playmaker when they play the New York Jets this weekend.
Hill briefly left the Dolphins game against the Tennessee Titans Monday night due to an ankle injury he suffered in the first quarter. Hill returned to the game in the third quarter. Hill has temporarily left a few games this season due to injury in recent weeks.
The Miami Dolphins hint at benching Hill
According to Daniel Oyefusi with the Miami Herald, Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel said the team was considering benching Hill during the season in order to protect him from an injury that could hamper their playoff run:
He’s such an important part of our team that we’re going to make sure that when he’s on the field, he’s not at risk of further injury to himself.”
