Commanders’ Jayden Daniels Displays Raw Emotion After Steelers Loss

The Washington Commanders have suffered their third loss of the season, going down 28-27 to the Pittsburgh Steelers at Northwest Stadium – and the players aren’t happy. After having a 10-point lead in the second half, the Commanders couldn’t hold on the momentum as Russell Wilson and the Pittsburgh offense snatched it late thanks to a Mike Williams touchdown.

For quarterback Jayden Daniels, he revealed how the locker room is feeling after such a cruel defeat. “I mean, it stings,” Daniels said. “You can see the guys are very passionate about wins and losses. It means something to them, it matters. That’s where I took away [from it], everybody’s mad, it matters to them, there’s nothing we can do about it, just go onto the next.” Daniels echoed the sentiments of head coach Dan Quinn who also stated that the loss stings, but it will be an important lesson for his team to learn as they had their chances to drive the stake through the Steelers’ hearts, they just couldn’t do it.

The loss snaps the Commanders’ three-game winning streak and perhaps what is “good” about the loss is that Washington got taught a lesson on how to finish games.

With the Philadelphia Eagles up next on Thursday Night, Quinn called for the “24-hour rule,” in which his team dissects the game and then makes the team move on and focus on the next game.

This will be one of many bumps in the road for the Commanders this season, but as we have seen already under Quinn’s guidance, they’ll learn from this setback and get ready to roll when they face the Eagles.

There’s a reason why the Pittsburgh Steelers are 7-2. They have a very tough defense and do not make mistakes. The Washington Commanders learned that the hard way in a tough loss at home.

Understand this – when I say the Steelers do not make mistakes, I mean they don’t make as many mistakes as they force their opponents into making.
