As the deal is nearly finalized, Thomas Frank’s buddy formally advises the Brentford manager to make significant changes at Tottenham.

Thomas Frank has been tipped to make a host of changes should he succeed Ange Postecoglou at Tottenham.

According to a report by TEAMtalk [13 December], Frank would be interested in the Tottenham job should it become available.

Spurs’ 5-0 Premier League win against Southampton at St Mary’s Stadium on Sunday [15 December] is likely to have eased some of the pressure on Postecoglou.

However, should things change, and Frank succeed the 59-year-old, ex-Spurs scout Bryan King – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – has backed the Brentford boss to make an instant impact at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

“I know Thomas, I first met him many years ago when he was in charge of the Denmark Under-19s,” King said.

“He has done a marvellous job at Brentford. He is a good coach, he knows what he wants to do and he knows how he wants to play. I would imagine that if he came to Tottenham, there would be a lot of changes, both in terms of staff and players.

“Frank has brought in players for reasonably small sums of money. Brentford recruit very well. I don’t know Postecoglou but I know Frank, and he has done very well with Brentford on a small budget.”

Thomas Frank to replace Ange Postecoglou at Tottenham?

Spurs’ win at Southampton, in which one player shone with his “terrific” display, will likely have Postecoglou breathing a little easier. However, this is football, and things can change very quickly.

Therefore, the Spurs boss would be foolish to think his position is suddenly safe, and should his side lose their Carabao Cup quarter-final clash with Manchester United at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Thursday [19 December], the pressure could suddenly be back on.

And it appears as though Frank would be ready to capitalise on any big decisions in North London.
