Stockport County, Mansfield Town, Wrexham AFC and Crawley Town all gained promotion into League One last season and all will have had slightly different ambitions going into the campaign.
The three sides that went up automatically, Stockport County, Mansfield Town and Wrexham AFC, were sat comfortably in those automatic places with a big gap in terms of points separating them and the play-off spots.
While as for Crawley Town they managed to secure their play off place by just one point but were victorious at Wembley against Crewe which saw them promoted from League Two.
Another Promotion in Sight For Stockport
Stockport County were promoted from League Two as Champions and have started this season in a strong manor as they currently sit sixth in the table in the play-off spot.
After a busy transfer window with a whole host of players coming and going their most noticeable acquisition of the window was fan favourite ,and former Barcelona academy player, Louie Barry who re-joined the club on loan from Aston Villa after spending the previous season with the Hatters.
Barry has been a key figure again in the team this season with ten league goals this season helping his side earn six wins and six draws so far this campaign which has them in the running for another promotion.
Back-to-back-to back for Wrexham?
Any club that can do two consecutive promotions from the National League to League One must be looked at as serious promotion challengers and that is exactly what Wrexham are as after 14 games they sit in third place in the league.
Brilliant home form and a solid defence has been a really good platform for the North Wales side to build on this season and could be a real difference maker in the race for promotion.
Phil Parkinson’s side currently have the best home form in the division with six wins and one draw and also the joint best defence with just ten goals conceded in the league so far.
However, after the injury of their top scorer, Jack Marriott, goals have been hard to come by in recent weeks but if they can get strikers Paul Mullin and Ollie Palmer firing like they did last season, then there is no reason as to why they can’t have another blockbuster season.
