Sources: Leeds new three-man signing plan revealed
Leeds United are keen to add a left-back and a central midfielder to their complement of summer signings, sources have told Football Insider.
It is believed a centre-back is also a top priority for the Whites following the injury to captain Liam Cooper.
Football Insider revealed on Friday (11 August) that top targets Taylor Harwood-Bellis and Nat Phillips are expected to cost “big money” in the final three weeks of the window.
But Daniel Farke’s side are keen to press ahead with their transfer plans regardless despite tying up a season-long loan for Tottenham’s Joe Rodon
The Yorkshire giants have already lost centre-backs Max Wober, Robin Koch and Diego Llorente since relegation from the Premier League in May.
Injury is also causing panic for Leeds at left-back – with Junior Firpo reportedly out for another four weeks as he recovers from a torn knee ligament.

Young Leo Hjelde started on the left side of the defence for the 2-2 draw against Cardiff last week (6 August) but was withdrawn for Sam Byram at half-time.
Leeds will move for a new full-back option in the final weeks of a hectic summer window.
Also on the agenda is a central midfielder capable of playing in a ‘number six’ and ‘number eight’ role.
Football Insider revealed on Friday (11 August) that Southampton are in pole position to sign West Ham midfielder Flynn Downes ahead of competition from Leeds.
The Whites will now evaluate alternative targets as they eye an immediate return to the Premier League under Farke’s stewardship.
Leeds face Birmingham City away on Saturday (12 August).
