Safety Theo Jackson Re-Signs with Vikings

Titans sign free agent safety Quandre Diggs

The Tennessee Titans agreed to a deal with free agent Quandre Diggs, the safety confirmed on social media. Terms were not disclosed, but ESPN reported it was a one-year deal worth up to $5 million.

The move reunites Diggs with former Seattle Seahawks teammate Jamal Adams in the Tennessee secondary. Diggs, 31, recorded a career-high 95 tackles and one interception in 17 starts with Seattle last season. The three time Pro Bowl selection has 24 interceptions and 580 tackles in 137 games (112 starts) with the Detroit Lions (2015-19) and Seahawks (2019-23).

Titans Reach a 1-Year Agreement With Safety Quandre Diggs

The Tennessee Titans are in the midst of a run on free-agent safeties. After previously signing All-Pro veteran Jamal Adams, the Titans now also inked Pro Bowler Quandre Diggs to a deal.

The move actually reunites Diggs with Adams, as the two previously suited up for the Seattle Seahawks together between 2020 and 2023. The Seahawks released both players in March as part of moves to clear up the salary cap.

Adams previously hinted at Diggs’ arrival to Tennessee, telling reporters during a training camp interview that the two are in constant communication and would like to play together again.

Report: Titans agree to one-year deal with safety Quandre Diggs

Diggs started all 17 games for Seattle in 2023, delivering a career-high 95 tackles, five passes defended, and one interception. Prior to that, he had three straight Pro Bowl campaigns with the Seahawks. The former sixth-round pick started his career with the Detroit Lions.

Diggs is expected to immediately step into contention for being the Titans’ starting safety. He will have to beat out 2021’s third-round pick Elijah Molden and potentially Adams, with veteran Amani Hooker considered a lock for at least one starting spot.
