Hull City are closing in on a swoop for Blackpool striker Kyle Joseph.Hell of an offer' - Steve Bruce responds to reported interest in Blackpool key man from former club Hull City

This is according to Hull Live, who believe the club has now struck a £2.5m deal to recruit the striker, who has been a real asset for Steve Bruce’s side in League One this season.

The Tigers, meanwhile, have already endured a fairly busy transfer window, with Matt Crooks making the move back to Yorkshire from the United States to link up with the club, and the club also agreeing a loan deal with Leeds United to sign Joe Gelhardt.

Nordin Amrabat also joined the club earlier this week and he looks set to be joined by Lincoln Henrique, who has reportedly flown in to undergo a medical.

This activity couldn’t be any different from what Ruben Selles experienced at Reading, with the Royals spending their entire time under the Spanish coach under an embargo, which often limited the amount of business they were able to conduct.

The Berkshire outfit were only able to recruit one player during the summer window, but Hull have already announced three additions, and two more look set to follow shortly.Hell of an offer' - Steve Bruce responds to reported interest in Blackpool key man from former club Hull City

This investment may be needed, considering the Tigers remain in a relegation battle at this point and previously looked doomed under Tim Walter, who majorly struggled in East Yorkshire.

Hull City set to tie up Kyle Joseph deal

Hull Live believe a deal in the region of £2.5m is set to be wrapped up for the Seasiders’ star Joseph, with the Tigers’ interest in the player first being revealed in a Football League World exclusive.

The same outlet also believes an announcement may not be too far away, with the player missing his current team’s game against Huddersfield Town on Saturday afternoon.Hell of an offer' - Steve Bruce responds to reported interest in Blackpool key man from former club Hull City

Tom Bloxham took his place and it looks as though the player’s arrival from Shrewsbury Town may have given Bruce’s side the opportunity to sanction a fairly big-money move for Joseph, who has been excellent this season.
