Hull City: Left-back curse can be ended by deal for Celtic's Greg Taylor

Hull City face EFL competition in pursuit of Scottish Premiership striker

Hull City target Bobby Wales is wanted by a ‘number’ of EFL clubs this winter, according to Sky Sports.

Hull City have been linked with a move for the striker this winter. Football Insider have reported that he is on HCAFC’s radar as they look to bring in some more bodies to boost their survival chances.

Wales, 19, is out of contract at the end of the season and is due to become available in the summer as things stand. He has made 20 appearances in all competitions so far in this campaign and has chipped in with three goals and two assists.

Hull City could see Wales one one for the future at the MKM Stadium.

They have already brought in Kyle Joseph from Blackpool in his position now, along with Joe Gelhardt on loan from Leeds United.

The Tigers have also snapped up Matt Crooks and Nordin Amrabat.

Wales started out at Hurlsford Boys Club before linking up with Kilmarnock.

The Scotland youth international has since risen up through the academy ranks at Rugby Park and was a regular at various different youth levels.

He penned his first professional contract back in 2021 before breaking into the first-team.

Wales has since played 30 matches altogether and has found the net three times.

Kilmarnock handed him his last contract in 2023 and he told their website at the time: “I’m really happy to sign a new deal. Growing up as a fan and progressing from mascot to ball boy before having the privilege of playing for the club has meant a lot to me, so it was an easy decision to stay.

“The aim for this campaign is to continue showing the form I did last season by scoring goals at whatever level I’m asked to, while getting more minutes in and around the first-team.”

What now for Hull City target Bobby Wales?

Hull City will need to bat away interest from elsewhere if they are to land Wales.

They need more quality in their ranks if they are to survive in the Championship.

The Tigers were beaten 2-1 at home by QPR on Tuesday night.
