2 sources claim young attacker ‘will join’ Newcastle – Magpies ‘almost found’ total agreement
Newcastle United are set to be Dinamo Tbilisi youngster Vakhtang Salia’s next destination.
It’s claimed Eddie Howe’s side will let the forward continue at the Georgian club for a year before bringing him to the club.
Salia graduated from Dinamo Tbilisi’s academy and was promoted to their first team in 2023. He played 30 matches so far, scoring four goals and registering two assists in the process.
The teenager represented Georgia’s U21 side in June but is yet to play for the senior team. There were concerns whether he would be eligible to get a work permit in the UK. The report claims this has been resolved, without providing further explanation.
Foot Mercato have joined Lelo in backing up Newcastle’s interest in the young attacker.
They state Newcastle are about to find an agreement with Dinamo Tbilisi for Salia. He ‘will join’ the Premier League side next summer.
Journalist Santi Aouna took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to add ‘full agreement almost found’ between Newcastle and Dinamo Tbilisi for the Georgian.
