Despite some speculation, the Las Vegas Raiders won’t make any change at quarterback ahead of Sunday’s matchup.

The Cleveland Browns’ offense has been terrible, and quarterback Deshaun Watson hasn’t been up to par so far this season. The 2025 draft isn’t deep at quarterback, but there are three guys at the top who make sense for the Browns.

The Cleveland Browns’ offense has been terrible through the first three weeks of the 2024 NFL season. The offensive line has struggled mightily to protect quarterback Deshaun Watson and much of the play calling and overall game plans haven’t made much sense. You cannot blame all the issues on one player or coach, but it is hard to argue that Watson has played well.

Through three games, Watson has a QBR of 23.2, worse than any other quarterback except for  who has been benched in Carolina. There is plenty of time for Watson to figure things out, but the Browns wouldn’t be doing their due diligence if they aren’t looking for possible replacements for the future, especially now that they have a first-round pick again.

This year’s quarterback class isn’t as good as last year, but three at the top make a ton of sense for the Browns if they go that direction in April.

Texas signal-caller  is currently dealing with an injury that has caused him to miss about a game and a half, but he has had a good start to his 2024 season. In the three games Ewers has played, he has completed 73.4% of his passes for 691 yards, eight touchdowns, and two interceptions. The improvements in his decision-making and comfort in the system this year are noticeable when you watch him this year compared to his 2023 tape.

Ewers has the arm talent and accuracy to attack the defense at all three levels: short, intermediate, and deep. He doesn’t have the overall strongest arm, but he has more than enough to get the job

done. The most significant improvement this year is Ewers’ ability to throw with anticipation, knowing where his receivers will be, and understanding the coverage he sees to put the ball in place for his wide receivers before they are even open.

His game will translate at the next level primarily because of his ability to stay cool under pressure. Ewers has good mobility and throws the ball accurately on the run, although he needs to work on the consistency of his mechanics. The biggest concern with Ewers is his injury history, which is beginning to grow, but overall, he would be a great fit in what Kevin Stefanski traditionally ran before 2024.
