she suffered a fractured wrist. Fans figured that Reese would be keeping tabs on the WNBA Playoffs, especially since her rival Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever are still playing. That didn’t end up happening, though, as Reese spurned Clark and the Fever in favor of watching the Los Angeles Rams take on the San Francisco 49ers in the NFL’s Week 3 action.

Fans were surprised to see Reese not paying attention to the WNBA Playoffs at all, although it does make sense since the Sky’s season is over. Angel Reese fielded a handful of compelling questions during her media availability session on Tuesday. One of the biggest issues she was asked to discuss centered around the Chicago Sky’s disappointing campaign as well as what this team will need to do to change the narrative next season. When asked by Sky reporter Annie Costabile of the Chicago Sun-Times about the biggest need of the team heading into 2025, Reese acknowledged that certain tweaks could be forthcoming for their roster. “I think we’re all just going to continue to get better,” she started. “Obviously, we’re gonna have free agency, we’re gonna have people that we’re looking at as well.”

The 22-year-old then talked about head coach Teresa Weatherspoon and how Reese remains confident in the Hall of Famer’s ability to lead the charge for the Sky. For her part, Reese also said that she wants to be more vocal as a leader on the squad along with the veterans who are already on the team and perhaps a couple of others who could be arriving in the offseason.

“Being able to go into next year being able to have some more veteran leadership, being able to have more voices,” Reese said. “I think that’s going to be something I’m really looking for. “I think, obviously, I have no doubt that [General Manager Jeff Pagliocca] and [Weatherspoon] are going to bring the right pieces around and I’m just continuing to look at that.”
