Hull City complete fifth January signing as Brazilian attacker arrives on loan
City’s busy January window has continued with their latest new arrival
Brazilian attacker Lincoln Henrique has completed his move to Hull City, joining the Tigers on loan from Fenerbahce in time to be in the squad at Sheffield United on Friday night.
The Turkish giants have sanctioned the release of the 26-year-old forward-thinking player, with him joining City on loan until the end of the current season, having been deemed surplus to requirements in Istanbul by Jose Mourinho.
Lincoln completed his medical on Monday and watched City’s 2-1 home defeat to QPR on Tuesday night along with fellow new arrival Eliot Matazo. He becomes the fifth signing of what has turned out to be a hectic winter transfer window so far. The loan is straight deal until the end of the season with no option or obligation to buy.

The €4m-rated forward has recently spent time on loan at Red Bull Bragantino in his homeland, scoring three goals and registering two assists in 28 games before returning to Istanbul last month to be told by Mourinho that he had no immediate future with Fenerbahce. Bragantino opted against triggering their buyout option to sign Lincoln in €6m during last season’s mid-season transfer window.
Lincoln has notched 282 career appearances, scoring 25 goals and clocking up 39 assists. He represented Brazil at the Under-17 level earlier in his career.
City’s latest arrival joined the Turkish outfit in July 2022 when he signed from Portuguese outfit Santa Clara but has since posted a goodbye message to the fanatical Fenerbahce support.
“It was great to be back in Istanbul and to feel the love of the fans all the time. I came back with the intention of experiencing this feeling on the pitch, but not everything in life is the way we want it to be. I feel at peace and with the feeling that better things will happen where I will be valued…. Thank you to all the fans, you will always be in my heart and in the heart of my family,” he wrote on social media.
Lincoln is the fifth first team player to arrive from Fenerbahce since Ilicali took control of the Tigers three years ago, following Allahyar Sayyadmanesh, Dimitrios Pelkas, Ozan Tufan and current striker Joao Pedro. Bora Aydinlik joined the club’s Under-21s set-up in the summer 2023.
