RIGHT IN: The Washington Commanders have formally acknowledged the trade of the Chicago Bears’ best linebacker due to an injury issue, according to ESPN this afternoon. However….

Dak Prescott oddly omitted from Micah Parson and Trevon Diggs’ top 8 quarterbacks list in the NFL

Sosmetimes, it be your own people. There is someone notably missing from a list of top quarterbacks listed out by Dallas Cowboys players Micah Parson and Trevon Diggs.

Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons and defensive back Trevon Diggs have listed their top 10 quarterbacks in the NFL right now.

But their list, which was revealed on Parsons’s podcast, The Edge with Micah Parsons, this week is missing someone notable.

The two stars were talking about Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels, who they believe is a top-five quarterback right now even as a rookie.

He higher than [top 10] for sure who else you gonna put in there?” said Diggs.

Diggs and Parsons added Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson, Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs, and Philadelphia Eagles star Jalen Hurts. Then, they added Sam Darnold (Minnesota Vikings), Jared Goff (Detroit Lions), and Matthew Stafford (Los Angeles Rams).

Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott was noticeably missing.

But, Parsons and Diggs said they felt like they couldn’t make a proper list because of the outstanding quarterback play this season.

“I can’t give you a top five right now based on how everybody’s performing bro, it’s just too hard,” said Parsons.

Through seven games, Prescott has struggled. He’s thrown for 1,845 yards and 10 touchdowns to eight interceptions. The Cowboys do average 256.0 passing yards per game, which is third best in the league.

The Cowboys’ defense meanwhile allows 28.3 points per game, which is second-worst in the league.

Kind of ironic that Parsons and Diggs left Prescott off their list when they have their own issues.

New York is in last place in the NFC East and Washington is in first place in the NFC East. The New York Giants’ strength is Shane Bowen’s defense. The weaknesses of the Giants are the offense and quarterback Daniel Jones. The strength of the Commanders is rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels.

The Giants defensive coordinator spoke to the media on Thursday. He talked about what the Commanders do very well. Bowen said to the media on Thursday about facing Washington again for the second time this season, including rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels:

“Elite QB as a rookie.”

These are some very strong words from Bowen. One of the reasons why the Commanders went from worst to first is because they finally found a franchise quarterback. New York Giants fans wished they had Jayden Daniels instead of Daniel Jones. Who can blame them honestly?
