Mauricio Pochettino makes two changes: Chelsea predicted XI vs Luton
Chelsea will be looking to record their first win of the season when they take on Luton Town tomorrow night.
The Blues have just one point from their opening two Premier League games this campaign, so there’s a lot of pressure going into Friday night’s fixture against newly-promoted Luton.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side have played some eye-catching football in the draw against Liverpool and defeat to West Ham. However, the three points is the most vital thing in the home clash against Luton at Stamford Bridge.

The Chelsea Chronicle has predicted the starting line-up Pochettino could select in the upcoming fixture. It includes two changes to the XI from the West Ham loss.
GK and defence
Robert Sanchez is likely to start in goal again as he goes in search of his first clean sheet in Chelsea colours.
We’re guessing that Pochettino will stick with the back three he’s used in the two games so far this season, albeit we saw a back four in pre-season and it’s usually his go-to system.
Our prediction is it’ll be the same trio at centre-half for the third game in a row.
Axel Disasi and Levi Colwill are the two young defenders flanking veteran Thiago Silva in the predicted line-up.
Midfield
With Reece James still sidelined through injury, Malo Gusto is the obvious pick to continue at right wing-back.
Meanwhile, Ben Chilwell appears to have nailed down the starting left wing-back spot so far under Pochettino.
The first of two changes comes in the centre of the park. We think Moises Caicedo could be handed his first ever Chelsea start, which would mean 23-year-old Conor Gallagher is benched and drops out of the side.
Enzo Fernandez, who will still be kicking himself with his penalty miss against West Ham, completes the midfield.
Chelsea fans may need to wait a little while still before new signing Romeo Lavia makes his debut. Well-respected journalist Simon Phillips has reported on his Substack that Lavia is doing individual training at Cobham as he builds up his fitness.
Attack
Raheem Sterling should be the first name on the team sheet if Pochettino wants to choose this side based off last weekend’s individual performances. We’re pretty confident the English forward will be starting in attack.
The next change could see £29million (Sky Sports) star Noni Madueke replace the injured Carney Chukwuemeka.
Finally, Nicolas Jackson leads the line again and desperately needs his first goal of the season.
