Ohio State offers North Carolina defensive tackle, makes the cut for a top 2026 offensive tackle

For the last few cycles now, the state of North Carolina has been a major recruiting priority for Ohio State when it comes to the defensive line. Dishing out several offers the last couple of years to the top guys within the state, Larry Johnson has been as present there as anywhere else in the country. Having major success with a guy like Tyliek Williams, the reason to keep coming around is pretty obvious.

Making yet another stop in the Tar Heel State on Thursday, the Buckeyes dished out their latest offer in the 2026 class. Taking to his social media to announce the news, 6-foot-3, 320 pound defensive tackle target Noah Clark is the most recent player to get the good news from Ohio State. Looking at his offer list too, it’s easy to see why the coaching staff felt it was time to throw their name into the mix.

The No. 246 player nationally and the 30th best at his position per the 247Sports Composite, Clark holds offers from the likes of Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Miami, Michigan, Penn State, Tennessee, and Texas among several others. Currently though, South Carolina looks to be the school he’s been in contact the most.

With Ohio State now entering the room, the next goal is getting Clark to campus and more familiar with the program. Spring football is approaching in the coming weeks, and that would be ideal time for him to get to Columbus.

As Bowen gets settled in and starts getting out on the road, the positive aspects he brings should show quickly. Thankfully, Ohio State already sits in a solid spot for multiple top guys in the 2026 class at the position he can build rapport with quickly.

One of which, four-star Felix Ojo made another step towards a final decision yesterday when he cut his list of schools down to eight. The No. 69 player nationally and eighth best offensive tackle per the 247Sports Composite, the 6-foot-6, 275 pound athlete has an impressive 40-plus offers, so getting down to just eight shows his desire to narrow it down.
