We’re delighted to welcome injury expert Dr Rajpal Brar as our exclusive columnist. Each week he’ll be giving his views on the injury situation at Leeds United...

Rangers midfielder Glen Kamara is unlikely to fail his medical should he end up signing for Leeds United, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert claims that the 27-year-old’s lack of pre-season friendlies and involvement in first-team games this season could see the Whites take some time before integrating him into the playing eleven.

However, it should not cause any red flags in the pre-transfer medical examinations as Leeds aim to complete a few deals before the window closes.

Speaking exclusively to MOT Leeds News, Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and Sports Scientist, said about Kamara, “His lack of game time very likely wouldn’t influence his physical so his medical should be cleared but it’s certainly a consideration for his fitness levels as you cannot replicate in-game fitness and intensity without playing in games.

Whether he’s on the bench or in reserve games or takes place in a certain amount of bounce matches will depend on his underlying fitness levels.

“His injury record seems relatively good and no reason for Leeds to worry.”

Four Lads Had a Dream, the official media partner of Rangers, claimed on 31 August that everything had been agreed between the two clubs.

Should the deal go through, Leeds will pay the Scottish club £5million excluding any add-ons to sign the 27-year-old.

As things stand, a medical has not been booked yet for the Finland international as work continues on other targets.

In other Leeds United news, agents and personal terms update has emerged as the Whites have agreed a fee for another new signing.
