Everton handed big injury boost as ‘brilliant’ player spotted back in UAE training as well as Armando Broja
Everton are enjoying a few days in the Middle Eastern sun with no game to be played this weekend.
After a manic opening month and a half, David Moyes is finally able to put his feet up briefly with a few days’ break in the United Arab Emirates.
Having drawn against Brentford on Wednesday, Everton jetted off to Abu Dhabi for a warm-weather training camp.
It will provide the Toffees with their first real opportunity to take a breather from what has been a stunning run under the 61-year-old.
Everton are seven games unbeaten in the Premier League for the first time since 2017.
And the Blues are getting stronger by the day, with players slowly returning to Moyes’ selection from their respective injury issues.
Seamus Coleman returns to Everton training after injury
Everton have already seen Armando Broja return to training this week for their trip to the Middle East.
And it seems he is not the only player making his comeback, with Everton’s options being added to by the day.
Everton released some images of the players on Friday from their training camp in Abu Dhabi, with Seamus Coleman spotted back in action.
Coleman has endured a season to forget with only three Premier League appearances (196 minutes) to his name.
The 36-year-old has not featured this year after dealing with a calf injury.
However, he is now running out of time to rack up some final minutes for the Toffees in before the end of the season.
Coleman’s Everton future is in doubt as his contract runs out in a matter of months.
With the games running out, Coleman could be set for an emotional farewell at Goodison Park in the historic ground’s final game.
Seamus Coleman remains an Everton leader off the pitch
It has not been the season which Coleman would have dreamed for back in the summer, but his influence has remained off the pitch.
Coleman helped persuade Jake O’Brien to join Everton after speaking to his compatriot last summer.
But it is not just with the other players who the 36-year-old has had a huge effect on.
Moyes has recently admitted Coleman has remained a big figure in the dressing room as he has been recovering from his injury.
“He’s a huge member of the dressing room, a huge member of the team – he leads the team brilliantly well here,” he said prior to the Manchester United game.
