Mitch Marner Vetoed Blockbuster Mikko Rantanen-Toronto Maple Leafs Trade

It’s not known exactly what his next contract will look like, but multiple reports indicate that Marner is seeking a healthy raise from the $10.93 million salary he’s making this season. A Marner-for-Rantanen swap would have been beneficial for both sides. Since 2018, Marner has scored 172 goals, 586 points in 478 games, while Rantanen has tallied 240 goals, 565 points in 467 games.
