“Stephen A. is a Fraud” Cowboys Owner Jerry Jones Jabs Back Over Worries About His Health
Jerry Jones faced some concern from fans and analysts this past week after making some puzzling statements. While the Dallas Cowboys are in the middle of a season to forget, Jerry has been in the media every week making some strange statemen
Most of the fans have blamed Jones for the way the team has performed, and he deserves tons of the blame. But after some recent statements, many began to worry about Jones’ mental health, and he heard the concern and responded in perfect Jerry fashion.
Jerry Jones Responds To Concern Over His Mental Health
This all started when ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith voiced his concern for Jones’ mental health. Everyone knows Smith is one of the biggest Cowboys haters but he had a different tune to sing after their most recent loss. He even went as far as to compare the Cowboys owner to President Biden:
“I’m getting very very worried about Jerry Jones… I find myself thinking about Joe Biden before he backed out of running for reelection,” Smith said on ESPN’s “First Take” this week.
“I think Jerry’s one month older than President Joe Biden for crying out loud…where the hell are his family members?”
Jones must have heard this out of Smith and he brushed the concerns aside in comedic fashion, while also going after Smith:
“Stephen A. is a fraud in a positive sense and I’m smiling. We are friends,” the longtime owner said.
“And I am having huge support and huge input and help from everyone he mentioned in that call about stepping in. But I would say if he had asked me that question relative to the issue or the criticism that Biden had about his ability to function, I wish he would follow me around every day. And he would see that I’m the busiest I’ve ever been in my life.”
I’m not concerned about the ability to do the work, to do the job.”
“Stephen A. – and I’d love to have him just sit beside us for a day and make the rounds and have him listen to me field the calls and do the kinds of things we do and he wouldn’t be worried about me there. But I do appreciate his concern. And by the way, it is genuine,” Jones said.
Whether or not Jones can still run this team, he is certainly getting toward the end of his tenure as the main guy running the show for the most popular franchise in the world. The Cowboys will have a lot of work to do this offseason, and Jones is the main decision-maker behind their team.
