Wrexham sources share striker update as Phil Parkinson offered at least 12 different options
Wrexham want to sign a new centre-forward during the 2025 winter transfer window.
The latest transfer window is now less than six weeks away and the Red Dragons are expected to be busy.
Club chief Shaun Harvey confirmed Wrexham will be active in January during an interview earlier this week.
And the main position expected to be targeted by the Welsh outfit is centre-forward, with reports emerging last week that Wrexham want to sign a striker.
This comes with Paul Mullin having still only found the net on one occasion in League One this season and top scorer Jack Marriott suffering a long-term injury blow.
A summer target has left the door open to joining Wrexham after he shared a contract update this week.
And now, we have an exclusive update on the club’s pursuit of a new centre-forward as we head toward January.

Wrexham striker transfer plan update
The Red Dragons were linked with a lot of strikers over the summer before eventually signing Modou Faal for a record fee.
Faal arrived late in August after Wrexham missed out on several targets, including now League One rival Bailey Cadamarteri.
However, Phil Parkinson is now expected to have plenty of options to choose from when it comes to bringing in a new number nine this winter.
The Wrexham Insider understands the Hollywood-owned club have been offered at least a dozen to 20 striker options already.
A lot of players want to sign for Wrexham, with the club pushing to get a deal down now a top-two finish is on the cards – something they didn’t think was possible ahead of 2024/25 getting underway.
We also understand that with the Welsh outfit not being a ‘normal’ League One side due to the immense pulling power brought about by their owners, they could dip into the foreign market to sign an international striker.

How Wrexham striker search will impact Jon Dadi Bodvarsson
If and when Wrexham do bring in a new centre-forward, it will leave Parkinson with seven different options to pick from (once Marriott returns as well).
Mullin and Ollie Palmer are legends of the club and will not be moved on, especially given the latter just signed a new contract.
Faal is a new addition and has a long-term future at Wrexham, while Steven Fletcher and Marriott’s futures are not expected to be decided until the summer when their contracts expire.
This likely means that Jon Dadi Bodvarsson, who signed a short-term deal until January last month, will be let go to make room for their new forward.
