According to the Daily Mail, Rob Edwards wants Luton to be competitive as the Hatters prepare to make their return to the top flight after more than three decades.
And Chong is seen as part of that plan with the 23-year-old having come through United’s academy where he went on to play 16 first-team games for the Red Devils.
