BLACKBURN ENQUIRE ABOUT BREST’S KARAMOKO DEMBÉLÉ

L’Équipe are reporting that Championship side Blackburn Rovers have enquired about Stade Brestois’ English youth international Karamoko Dembélé (20).

Dembélé caught the attention of the footballing world during his early days at Celtic. However, the striker, who has represented Scotland and England at youth level, failed to impose himself in the first-team and joined Brest last summer on a free transfer.

However, thus far, Dembélé’s move to Ligue 1 hasn’t reignited his career. Last season, the former Celtic forward featured 15 times in Ligue 1. All of those appearances came from the bench. Dembélé also featured in two Coupe de France matches, making one start.

Blackburn are interested in bringing Dembélé back to the UK and have enquried about his availability, without formulating an offer. Whilst the striker isn’t on the transfer list, Brest wouldn’t be against selling Dembélé, whose current deal runs until 2026.
