Attacker is flying to London tonight to sign for Tottenham – Journalist report
Alejo Veliz is set to fly to London tonight in order to complete his transfer to Tottenham Hotspur.
New Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou has already massively improved the squad he inherited this summer. Ready-made first-team players Guglielmo Vicario, James Maddison, and Manor Solomon have arrived so far.
Spurs are also ‘on the verge’ of completing the signing of Wolfsburg defender Micky van de Ven, too (The Athletic). The 22-year-old is due in London tomorrow and should be announced as a Tottenham player on Monday (De Telegraaf).
The Lilywhites are also keeping one eye on the future, it seems. The acquisition of promising 18-year-old centre-half Ashley Phillips from Blackburn Rovers was confirmed by the club today.
As per Fabrizio Romano, the North London side are also close to wrapping up a deal for 19-year-old Argentine striker, Alejo Veliz from Rosario Central. The move is thought to be worth around €15m (£12.9m) plus add-ons.

That switch is getting closer and closer to becoming official, as journalist Uriel Ligt reveals Veliz is soon to be on his way to London to put the finishing touches to his transfer.
On Twitter, Lugt said: “Tonight from Ezeiza, Alejo Veliz travels to England.”
Further details are yet to emerge as to the schedule for Veliz when he arrives, regarding when his medical and contract signing will take place and when the official announcement will be made.
Spurs Web Opinion
After a couple of slow weeks in the transfer market, it seems Tottenham are really kicking into gear and getting these deals across the line now.
Ashley Phillips and Alejo Veliz are both very exciting signings who could have big futures at Spurs, and they should be joined by Micky van de Ven early next week, too.
