Bournemouth target confirms he would like to “maybe change scenery” – Transfer very much a possibility
Real Valladolid forward Gonzalo Plata has confirmed he would like to leave the club this summer, amid reported interest from Bournemouth
Plata has been speaking to Marca 90 in his homeland, relayed by El Norte de Castilla, during which the subject of his future was brought up.
He’s been with the side since initially joining them on loan from Sporting Club de Portugal in August 2021, with the move being made permanent in July last year for €3m.
However, he’s been linked with a move away this summer following the Spanish side’s relegation from La Liga.
Reports have linked Bournemouth with a potential bid, with a report stating that Plata had asked Valladolid to sanction a transfer followed by further claims in South America.
That has obviously been picked up on in his homeland, with the prospect of a transfer to the richest and biggest league in the world naturally something that cannot be ignored.
Thus, Plata was asked about his future and while he had nothing to say about Bournemouth specifically, he made it clear he would like to secure himself a transfer this summer.
“I couldn’t tell you, that’s the truth,” he said.
Obviously, I would like to continue growing in football, as it were. Maybe change scenery. Fly as we have been doing.
“I would like to stay in Spain, play in the first division in Spain, but so far nothing is clear. Nothing is said yet. It remains to wait until the transfer market closes, to see what the future holds for me.”
