Victor Osimhen has wished Tanguy Ndombele ‘good luck’ in the future after the Tottenham Hotspur star penned a goodbye message to Napoli supporters on Saturday evening.

Last season, Tanguy Ndombele was loaned out to Napoli, who created history by winning the Serie A title for the first time in three decades and Tottenham’s second-most expensive signing told the fans in Naples that they will ‘forever be engraved in my heart’, as he posted on Instagram.

It was a moment to cherish for all involved, with Victor Osimhen scoring 26 goals and writing his name into the legendary books, with Ndombele featuring 30 times during the season.

But on July 1, the ball-carrying midfielder returned to Hotspur Way to report for his first day of pre-season ahead of the 2023/24 Premier League campaign.

Signed by Mauricio Pochettino, verbally battered by Jose Mourinho, and booted out by Antonio Conte, this will be the fourth manager of Ndombele’s, so far, nightmare reign at Spurs.

Nonetheless, following his message to the Napoli fans, one of Europe’s fearsome strikers, Osimhen wrote in the comments section of his IG post: ‘Good luck, my brother’.

One city, one people, Naples,” wrote Ndombele. “The end of my adventure that will only last a year but a year that will forever be engraved in my heart.

“Wishing you all the success you deserve. Thank you for everything, TN.

Does Ndombele have a future at Spurs?

The 26-year-old only spent a few seasons under Pochettino’s reign, before he was sacked, and since then, he has worked under defensive-minded coaches.

That just hasn’t suited his game, but will the more attack-minded Ange Postecoglou have the keys to unlock the magic from Ndombele’s feet?

Well, it seems as though he will be handed a chance during pre-season, but it’s now up to him to impress and finally showcase why Spurs once paid a club-record transfer for his talents.
