Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has been linked with a move away from the club this summer.

According to CaughtOffside columnist Christian Falk, Bayern Munich are hoping to finalise the deal for the England international before Tottenham’s next pre-season friendly match against Shakhtar Donetsk.

Apparently, the German club are currently working hard on the transfer of the 29-year-old striker and they are positive about securing an agreement with Tottenham. The 29-year-old has entered the final year of his contract with the club and he will look to move on this summer.

“Bayern Munich are working hard on the transfer of Harry Kane,” Falk said in his exclusive column.

“The club are still very positive about the deal and are hopeful the Englishman played his last match for Tottenham against LC Sailors. They would like to complete the deal before Spurs’ next match against Shakhtar Donetsk on 6 August in London.”

Tottenham will not want to lose him on a free transfer next year and it makes sense to cash in on the player.

Kane reportedly wants to join a big club capable of winning major trophies. He is yet to win trophies with Tottenham and he will look to utilise his peak years better.

The England international scored 32 goals across all competitions last season and his departure will come as a massive blow for Tottenham. It will be interesting to see how they replace him.

The 29-year-old is certainly one of the best goal-scorers of his generation and he will certainly improve Bayern Munich next season. The German club have missed a quality goal scorer like Robert Lewandowski and Kane could be his ideal replacement.

Meanwhile, Tottenham are going through a transition under new manager Ange Postecoglou and it will be interesting to see if they can get back into the Champions League without the help of their talisman striker.
