According to Patrick Moran of Talking Buffalo, Joseph signed with the Bills due to the fact they are a contender, among other important factors

“Trusted source tells me no less than four teams offered Linval Joseph a contract since the summer,” Moran wrote on social media on Thursday. “Either the money or the fit/stature of the team not enough to get Joseph off the couch. There’s been interest in him for a while, including an offer from Buffalo previously. He signed with the Bills because Buffalo’s paying him well for rest of season, they’re a contender and he’ll play plenty.
