Tottenham have agreed a deal for Wales centre back Joe Rodon to join Leeds United on a season-long loan after Liam Cooper was ruled out for eight weeks.
The Welshman, 25, has failed to nail down a starting spot at Spurs since joining from Swansea in 2020 and spent last season on loan at Rennes.
He was part of the Wales squad who qualified for the World Cup for the first time since 1958 and played in Qatar
Daniel Farke‘s side have done well to get a body through the door so soon after captain Cooper’s injury.
The 31-year-old stalwart was stretchered off during Leeds’ Championship return against Cardiff and will be out for up to eight weeks with a foot injury.
Since being relegated from the Premier League, the Whites have bolstered their defensive fortifications with goalkeeper Karl Darlow from Newcastle, right-back Sam Byram from Norwich, and defensive midfielder Ethan Ampadu from Chelsea.
No Premier League side shipped more than their 78 conceded goals last campaign.
