Tottenham ‘reach agreement with Manor Solomon’ as they move closer to free signing of ex-Fulham loanee, despite his deal at Shakhtar running until December
Tottenham have reportedly reached an agreement with Israeli winger Manor Solomon as Ange Postecoglou further looks to bolster his squad in the transfer window.
Solomon impressed while on-loan at Fulham last season and there was reported suggestions that he would move to Craven Cottage on a permanent deal.
However. Spurs have leapt at the opportunity to hijack a deal and a move is now in place, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
The specifics of any deal for the 23-year-old would see him move to a new club on a free transfer despite his contract at Shakhtar Donetsk not expiring until December.
Current FIFA rules allow any player who is under contract at a Ukrainian club to extend their deals for a further year.
The clause known as Annex 7 means that Solomon can extend his deal past its current contract expiry date of December 31 and join a new suitor as a free agent.

New Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou is a huge fan of Brighton & Hove Albion winger Kaoru Mitoma.
That’s according to a report from the Daily Mail which outlines each club’s potential plans for the summer transfer window.
Ange Postecoglou has a huge task on his hands after the campaign Tottenham had last season.
After looking like they were going to challenge for a place in the top four, Spurs ended up missing out on Europe altogether.
The team fell apart as Antonio Conte forced his way out of the club and his replacements Cristian Stellini and Ryan Mason struggled.
Tottenham took their time to hire a permanent replacement and ended up bringing in Postecoglou after a brilliant spell in charge of Celtic.
He’s already brought in goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario and top target James Maddison this summer.
Postecoglou is also a big fan of Kaoru Mitoma which will excite many Tottenham fans.
The £35m-rated winger was sensational in the second half of last season for Brighton.
Few players were as exciting at the Japanese international and it’s no surprise Postecoglou likes what he sees.
Tottenham boss Postecoglou a fan of Mitoma
The report from the Daily Mail states that, ‘The Seagulls are pulling out all the stops to try and tempt Chelsea into letting Levi Colwill stay and dribbling sensation Kaoru Mitoma has many admirers including the new Spurs boss Ange Postecoglu, who spent three years managing in the J-League.’
Mitoma has been compared to Son Heung-min this season, with BBC Sport’s Garth Crooks saying: “The Japan international has all the ingredients of a top-class player.
“Mitoma has a very similar game to Tottenham’s Son Heung-min. He is not afraid to take people on, can see the pass and wants to score goals.”
Postecoglou might be looking to add one more winger to his Tottenham squad this summer and Mitoma could fit the bill.
Arnaut Danjuma was allowed to leave after his six-month loan spell while Lucas Moura was also released by the club.
Mitoma has been linked with the likes of Arsenal and Aston Villa in recent months.
Given Brighton have already sold Alexis Mac Allister and Moises Caicedo could leave too, they will be under no pressure to let Mitoma go.
Postecoglou might be biding his time to see if he’s available before going all out to add Mitoma to his Tottenham squad.

JUST IN: Tottenham has agreed to sign another top striker from…….
90 min have claimed that Tottenham Hotspur are one of a whole host of clubs in the Premier League and across Europe who hold an interest in Sheffield United striker Daniel Jebbison.
Jebbison came through the Blades youth ranks and made his first-team debut for the club back in 2021 and he became the youngest player in the Premier League history to score on his full debut, netting against Everton aged just 17 and 309 days.
The centre-forward, who impressed during his loan spell at Burton Albion in League One during the second half of the 2021-22 season, made 16 appearances in the Championship last campaign.
Tottenham have a firm eye on Daniel Jebbison
90 min reveal that Tottenham are one of the clubs who hold a ‘huge interest’ in Jebbison while the likes of Newcastle United, Everton and Aston Villa are also said to be keeping close tabs on his situation.
The report adds that the striker is also on the wishlist of Juventus, Borussia Dortmund and Bayer Leverkusen, with the trio allegedly ‘gearing up’ to make a move for the 19-year-old.
With Jebbison having just one year left to run on his contract at Bramall Lane, 90 min claim that Paul Heckingbottom’s men face ‘a huge battle’ to hang on to the youngster.
Tottenham would likely be a much more attractive destination for young players now that it was when the likes of Antonio Conte and Jose Mourinho were in charge, given Postecoglou’s reputation for working with and nurturing up-and-coming talent.
So, perhaps Spurs would fancy their chances of convincing Jebbison to make the move to North London.

JUST IN: Postecoglou secure an instant Kane replacement in Spurs move for £130m “monster in a…….
Spurs: Victor Osimhen would be an instant Osimhen replacement
Tottenham Hotspur were likely shocked to the core when Bayern Munich submitted their offer for Harry Kane, with Daniel Levy probably assuming most would be put off by the ludicrous £200m price tag that was placed upon his head.
The chairman has remained staunch on his stance regarding the England captain, and having rejected that first advance from the Germans, he stuck to his word.
However, with news continuing that a second bid will come, it seems that now a decision must be made on whether to cash in on the 29-year-old now or lose him for free next summer when his contract comes to a conclusion.
Should he opt for the former, perhaps he could seek to reinvest those funds in the future of his number nine position, handing Ange Postecoglou the tools necessary to truly kickstart his revolution in north London.
He will need more than the initial €70m (£60m) that the Bavarian giants offered though if he is to secure the £130m that Napoli will demand for Victor Osimhen. Despite that, the Lilywhites remain one of the listed interested parties in the striker.
Is Victor Osimhen better than Harry Kane?
Across Europe, there were few front-men who could compete with the imperious form of Kane as he found the net on 30 occasions in the league despite his club being in turmoil.
In fact, he even ranked second in the race for the European Golden Shoe, of which Erling Haaland unsurprisingly stands way out in front. However, just three places behind the £200k-per-week finisher is the Nigeria international, showcasing how the 24-year-old is not far behind the levels that the Spurs favourite has reached.
The former LOSC Lille marksman hit 26 Serie A goals last term alongside notching five assists, with his raw physicality offering a completely different style to Kane’s. Journalist Colin Udoh had even branded the former a “monster of a player” as if to further emphasise this point.
It could be argued that given the relentless press Postecoglou will attempt to implement in north London, Osimhen even offers an upgrade on his technically-exceptional but somewhat sluggish current option.
The presence of this 6 foot 1 star in a title-winning side will likely also interest Levy too, as he desperately seeks to add some silverware to end the stigma surrounding his club
Kane has spent 11 long years as a senior player in the capital, with little to show for it except for his chance to break the all-time Premier League scoring record.
However, should he turn that down in favour of guaranteed trophies in Germany, Postecoglou can be safe in the knowledge that, should they choose Osimhen as his replacement, he will see little downturn in terms of goalscoring.

BREAKING NEWS: Tottenham ‘one step away’ from signing £52k-a-week star at Hotspur Way
Tottenham ‘one step away’ from signing £52k-a-week star at Hotspur Way
Tottenham are now on the verge of singing ‘monster’ £52-a-week Bundesliga star, according to Rudy Galetti
Tottenham Hotspur target and Bayer Leverkusen defender Edmond Tapsoba is now ‘one step away’ from making the switch to north London, Italian journalist Rudy Galetti has told GIVEMESPORT.
After forking out £17m for Guglielmo Vicario from Serie A-based outfit Empoli to solve their goalkeeper woes, the club will now turn their attention in order to tighten their defensive line.
Tottenham Hotspur transfer news – Edmond Tapsoba
Their cross-city neighbours Arsenal have smashed the rest of the Premier League out of the park with their business, but Spurs have also been shrewd in their signings, with James Maddison their latest acquisition.
Fabrizio Romano, on his Here We Go Podcast, claimed that Spurs have now placed the Burkina Faso-born defender as their priority.
“I keep saying that Tapsoba is a priority target because they [Spurs] love Tapsoba. Tottenham’s scouts have been there many times this year to follow Tapsoba. So, he is a player they really love, and they feel he is perfect for Premier League football,” Romano said.
“He is a leader. So, there are many factors in a deal and Tottenham think he is a fantastic option.”
Tapsoba, who pockets £52,000 per week, has two years left on his contract but may be on the move before his Leverkusen contract expires.
Clement Lenglet’s departure from London means they are now one less option short, meaning a new centre-back should be next on Spurs’ ever-growing wish list.
Formerly of Villarreal, Pau Torres was also on Spurs’ radar until Unai Emery-led Aston Villa’s swooped in to sign the ‘Rolls-Royce’ defensive star for £35m, per The Guardian.
What did Rudy Galetti say about Tottenham Hotspur and Edmond Tapsoba?
Speaking exclusively to GIVEMESPORT, he said: “On the table, there are around €25m and the German club is concretely evaluating this proposal. Last winter, Arsenal asked them for him but then now they decide to go for Timber, who is close as well.
“So, the Burkina Faso player [Tapsoba], we can say that is one step away from joining Tottenham. In the next few days, they will push and close the deal positively.”
