Mother of Alabama LB commit QB Reese talks comfort level with new staff
Bama247 spoke with Rashida Reese following the family trip to Tuscaloosa over the weekend
In-state linebacker commit QB Reese (Birmingham, AL) is just two days from signing his National Letter of Intent to play football for the University of Alabama. He and his family used the final recruiting weekend before the dead period to check out Tuscaloosa and the entire new coaching staff one final time before making it official.
This comes about two weeks after the family met with head coach Kalen DeBoer, defensive coordinator Kane Wommack and defensive line coach Freddie Roach at a training facility in Birmingham. That is the 6-foot, 205-pounder was told his scholarship would be honored.
“It’s just a blessing being able to be part of that family,” the reigning ASWA Class 5A Lineman of the Year told Bama247 earlier this week. “I love coach DeBoer as a person. I love being around winners and I know he’s a winner. Why wouldn’t you be around a winner?”
Bama247 spoke with Reese’s mother, Rashida, about the comfort level with the new staff. She also shared excitement for her eldest son to play for the home state school.
