The Baltimore Orioles acquired starting pitcher Corbin Burnes in a trade from the Milwaukee Brewers for pitcher DL Hall, infielder Joey Ortiz, and the 34th overall selection in the 2024 MLB Draft, sources told ESPN’s Jeff Passan. With this trade, it is clear Baltimore is serious about winning the World Series in 2024.
They won the American League East in 2024 with a 101-61 record before flaming out in the ALDS in a sweep against the eventual World Series Champions, the Texas Rangers.
