The striker was let go by City at the end of his contract last month, and despite links to a number of Premier League clubs he will take the next step of his career in Spain
Kelechi Iheanacho will continue his career in La Liga with the former Leicester City striker set to sign for Sevilla.
According to widespread reports in Spain, Iheanacho is flying into Seville on Tuesday to undergo a medical, having agreed a two-year contract, with the option for one more. The Nigerian has been a free agent since leaving City at the end of his contract last month.
Iheanacho had been linked to a host of English clubs over the past few weeks, including Aston Villa, Nottingham Forest and Ipswich Town. But ABC de Sevilla say he has turned down interest from the Premier League – as well as Germany – so he won’t be playing against City next season.

The 27-year-old will be aiming to help Sevilla back towards the top of La Liga under new head coach Garcia Pimienta after they came 14th last term, their lowest finishing position since they returned to the Spanish top tier in 2001. Iheanacho should be a starter too, with Sevilla’s top scorer Youssef En-Nesyri sold to Jose Mourinho’s Fenerbahce this summer.
