Dan James injury update shared ahead of Leeds United v Cardiff

Dan James injury update shared ahead of Leeds United v Cardiff City

Dan James may require a late fitness test to be cleared to play for Leeds United against Cardiff City on 21 September, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert claims that his setback does not appear to sound serious and the last game just seemed to come too early for him.

Ahead of the loss against Burnley, Daniel Farke claimed that he was hoping the Welshman would be available in time for that game.

Speaking exclusively to MOT Leeds News, Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and Sports Scientist, said about James:

His injury doesn’t sound overly serious based on both player and manager’s comments.

Looks like the aim was to return following the break and the first game back might have come too soon.

Obviously, the best updates are the ones that come from the club but he may be touch and go for the next one and would perhaps require a late fitness test just in case.

Dan James adds something different to the Leeds United attack

The 26-year-old has been a go-to option for Farke this season and even last season, he played in 43 league games.

His output was also pretty impressive as he found the back of the net on 13 occasions and provided seven assists.

Hopefully, he can have a similar impact and guide Leeds to promotion as the side have lacked that cutting edge in the final third this season.

In other Leeds United news, the San Francisco 49ers may decide to pull the trigger on 21 September as Daniel Farke battles the sack at Elland Road.

Rasmus Kristensen permanent Leeds United exit now surely a formality amid ‘high quality’ admission

Rasmus Kristensen is not an altogether popular figure among Leeds Unite fans but a permanent exit is surely on the cards after praise from Eintracht Frankfurt’s sporting director.

It was clear throughout the summer that the Denmark international did not see his future at Elland Road with a move away always likely.

It was frustrating to the Whites that another loan deal – having spent last term in Serie A with Roma – was the best available, although they may be excited after the latest update from the Bundesliga side.

Eintracht Frankfurt share update on Leeds United loanee Rasmus Kristensen

The 27-year-old has clearly impressed in his opening three Bundesliga appearances since completing a temporary switch.

This has been made clear after Frankfurt’s sporting director Timmo Hardung praised the Dane alongside fellow new signing Arthur Theater

He told Fussball News (17 September): “The whole team has to work. But with Kristensen and Theater we have two players who can play as central defenders or full-backs at a high quality level.”

This is high praise for the Leeds loanee given how short a period he has been with the Bundesliga side and will likely be music to the ears of Whites supporters.

As a result, the Whites could be in for a payday in January or, more likely, the next summer transfer window if The Eagles look to make the deal permanent.
