Milwaukee Brewers: 1 MLB Influencer Gives Christian Yelich Significant Hall Of Fame Endorsement

Milwaukee Brewers star Christian Yelich is currently in the middle years of a lengthy $188.5 million contract that could keep him in the organization through the 2029 season.  After signing the deal in 2020 the now 32 year old outfielder went through a few down seasons, but showed glimpses of returning to a higher level of play.  This year he has maintained an elite level of play, is a starter on the 2024 All-Star team, and now one MLB Influencer has started thinking about the possibility of him someday being elected into Cooperstown.

Reviewing the career accolades of Christian Yelich.

Christian Yelich, who has surpassed 10 years of MLB service time, has numerous career accolades.  He is a one time MVP award winner (2018) and arguably should have won in 2019 as well.  On two occasions he has won the batting title, he is a three time silver slugger, soon to be three time All-Star, and he has one gold glove award.  Lastly he is one of 49 players to ever collect 200 career home runs, 200 stolen bases, and 300 doubles.

On the Talkin Baseball Podcast Jake Storelli brought up the possibility of Christian Yelich someday being elected into the Hall of Fame.  As controversial of a stat as WAR is, Christian Yelich currently sits at a career bWAR of 42.2 in which typically Hall of Fame players get in with WARs between 50 and 70.  This sparked a debate as to if he continues to keep playing near a 2.0 WAR level for at least the next five seasons that there then is a strong argument that he could be a Hall Of Famer.

A World Series win with the Milwaukee Brewers would help Christian Yelich’s future Hall Of Fame bid.

Jake Storelli also mentioned that if the Milwaukee Brewers can put together at least one strong October (and win a World Series) that Christian Yelich’s Hall of Fame chances would increase.
