Luton Town – And Another Deal Is Gotten Across The Line
If the announcement of Marvelous Nakamba, on Thursday evening cheered me up, then the signing of Issa Kabore, certainly kept that smile on my face.
With a permanent deal for Cody Drameh, who performed admirably for the Hatters when on loan, seemingly, off the table, the Hatters hierarchy had to look elsewhere to fill the right-sided void.
Speculation had been rife that Issa Kabore, a young defender on the books of Manchester City, was Luton’s target and a deal bringing him to Kenilworth Road, on a season long loan deal, was finally announced by the – Official Site.
Now, I can’t say I know too much about Issa, as although he is on the books of Manchester City, he’s spent most of his time out on loan at, Mechelen, Troyes and Marseille.
But, watching clips of the player, on You Tube, I reckon we’ve got ourselves a diamond and Rob Edwards, as reported by our referenced source, has no doubts Issa is ready for the Premier League, with the gaffer remarking:
“This is a really exciting signing and a big coup for the club, so I’d like to thank everyone involved for getting it over the line.
“We’ve had a lot of good feedback from the people we know at Manchester City, they really like him, and we think he’s someone who’s now more than ready for Premier League football; he’s had really good challenges in the top division in France so now is the right time.”
Does anyone else get the feeling that the Hatters are, slowly but surely, putting a squad together that could shock a lot of those who are of the belief we’re going to struggle next season?
