Jorgen Strand Larsen Star Admits ‘One Of The Main Reasons’ He Headed To Molineux

Wolves’ new striker Jorgen Strand Larsen has revealed that he likes the hostile and intense stadium atmosphere in the Premier League and it is one of the reasons he came to England.

The 24-year-old joined the Molineux club this summer on an initial loan deal from Celta Vigo and Wolves have an obligation to buy him next summer.

Wolves have had a tough start to their campaign as they have gathered only one point from their first three league matches.

Larsen started all three matches, scoring his first goal for the Molineux outfit against Chelsea last month in a 6-2 defeat.

The Norwegian admitted that it was a difficult atmosphere to deal with at the City Ground when Wolves faced Nottingham Forest last Saturday but he also stressed that the intense nature of the English crowd is one of the reasons he chose to come to the Premier League.

“I think that’s also one of the main reasons I’m here, I like that kind of football, that intensity”, Larsen told the Express & Star about the intense crowd in the Premier League.

“I tried to show it a bit in the Chelsea game, that I like to get the fans going. I like intensity in my playing style, also, but it was hard [against Nottingham Forest].”

Larsen will be looking to become a regular goal threat for Gary O’Neil’s side and establish himself as an important part of the team before he joins Wolves permanently next year.

The report states the Wolves player will continue working on his recovery and is making good progress. Algeria manager Vladimir Petković doesn’t want to risk him for tomorrow’s clash.

Compétition.dz add the fullback should be in contention against Liberia next Tuesday.

Wolves will hope he’s not risked unless fully fit, especially with it being a calf issue.
