Star wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins had been expected to be out four to six weeks after hurting his knee in late July, making Week One a concern.

With the Titans’ season opener against the Bears scheduled for Sunday, Hopkins is moving in the right direction. In Wednesday’s practice, Hopkins looked like himself on the field, according to head coach Brian Callahan.

According to Turron Davenport of ESPN.com, head coach Brian Callahan said he “looked like Hop

“He’s been really communicative about how he feels and where his body’s at and making sure he’s getting to work to be ready to play. Everything he’s done has been exactly what we’re looking for in terms of communication and process, so that’s been positive.”

Hopkins may be able to play this weekend, but Callahan said that determination of his status would have to wait until the end of the week.

If Hopkins is in the lineup to start the year, Tennessee’s offense looks much different.  Over the last three seasons Hopkins has averaged:

He is still one of the better wide receivers in the NFL and getting him on the field with a young quarterback will be huge.
