If he goes’ – Manager makes Leicester City transfer admission as Enzo Maresca eyes striker

Latest Leicester City transfer news as Swansea City manager Michael Duff speaks about the possibility of Joel Piroe moving to Filbert Way this summer

Swansea City manager Michael Duff has spoke about the future of Leicester City transfer target Joel Piroe.

The Dutch striker is reportedly of interest to City in the summer transfer window, having scored over 40 goals across the last two Championship seasons. His boss has addressed his future, admitting it is possible he could leave south Wales this summer.

Premier League clubs Everton and Nottingham Forest are also said to be interested in Piroe, thought the signings of Harry Winks and Conor Coady could persuade the Swansea striker to join the Enzo Maresca rebuild.

Speaking about the future of his star striker, Duff told WalesOnline : “I had some good conversations with Joel at our training camp in Spain last week and he was asking about detail in what I want from him

“Until anything changes we will keep on having those conversations. If he goes, he goes, and if he doesn’t he stays – it is not personal, it’s football.

“I understand he’s the big name at the club and only has a year left on his contract. There will be plans in place in terms of the way we play if he stays, and plans for if he goes.”
